4-H

4-H brings the knowledge and research of the Land Grant universities to over seven million youth in 3,150 counties of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, and the Northern Mariannas Islands. 4-H is the youth development component of the U.S. Department of Agriculture with headquarters in the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service in Washington, DC. The mission of National 4-H Headquarters is to advance knowledge for agriculture, the environment, human health and well-being, and communities by creating opportunities for youth.

Al-Anon/Alateen

The Al-Anon/Alateen Family Groups provide hope and help to families and friends of alcoholics. In confidential and free group meetings, members share their own experiences to help each other recover from the effects of living with someone else's drinking. (Note: Al-Anon/Alateen is a resource to the campaign, not a national partner.)

American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)

The AACC is the primary advocacy organization for the nation's community colleges. The association represents 1,100 two-year, associate degree-granting institutions and more than 10 million students.

America's Promise

America's Promise is an alliance founded in 1997 by General Colin Powell to make children and youth a national priority. The alliance successfully focuses energies, ideas and resources on five essential promises that we must keep to enable all children to live productive, fulfilling lives: caring adults who are actively involved; safe places to learn and play; a healthy start; an effective education that builds skills for success and opportunities for serving the community.

SPSMM advances knowledge in the psychology of men and boys, through research, education, training, public policy, and improved clinical practice. SPSMM has approximately 1,000 members, associates, affiliates, and student members and provides a forum the discussion of critical issues faced by men of all races, ethnicities, classes, sexual orientations and ability/disability statuses. (Note: APA Division 51, SPSMM is a resource to the campaign, not a national partner).

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)

CSAP’s mission is to bring effective substance abuse prevention to every community, nationwide. Its discretionary grant programs target states and communities, organizations and families to promote resiliency, protective factors, and reduce risk factors for substance abuse. Further, this SAMHSA Center supports the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI), the largest Federal source of information about substance abuse research, treatment, and prevention available to the public.

Health Ministries Association (HMA)

HMA is an interfaith membership organization, serving the people who serve the Faith Health Ministry Movement. The mission of HMA is to encourage, support and develop whole-person ministries leading to the integration of faith and health. HMA is dedicated to networking, educating, supporting and sharing a myriad of faith/health ministries. The organization believes in the future of paradigm shifts, creative collaboration, and healthier communities, promoting whole-person health through faith groups in the communities they serve.

MENTOR

MENTOR is leading the movement to connect America's young people with caring adult mentors. They exist to close the "mentoring gap"; to find mentors for the 15.1 million young people in the U.S. today who could benefit from having a caring adult in their lives.

The National League of Cities (NLC)

NLC is the oldest and largest national organization representing municipal governments throughout the United States. The Institute for Youth, Education, and Families (YEF Institute), a special entity within NLC, helps municipal leaders take action on behalf of the children, youth, and families in their communities. The YEF Institute's Municipal Leadership for Disconnected Youth project recognizes that disconnected youth—those ages 16-24 who are unemployed, high school dropouts, involved in the justice system, or otherwise disconnected—pose a significant challenge to cities and towns across the country.
